Contrast Lab Assignment

To me this photo creates a psychological moment for me. The picture creates a sense of relaxation and peace becuase of the light blue tones used.

This photo conveys the cultural and social aspects of contrast. The bright colors and clothing helps the audience get a feel of the culture.

I wanted to use this photo because of the position and orientation. I really enjoyed looking at this photo in class because the entire time I was taking it in I was trying to find out the position of the picture. I love it!

I picked this photo because I feel that it has a high contrast of colors even though there are only a few colors pictured. The bright background of the colors helps the shadowed areas to stand out and caught the attention of the audience. I truly love this photo.

In this photo the contrast of shapes is represented. The photographer of the photo is focused on the circular shapes of a motorcycles lights. This photo was taken by Nicole Nivinski.

I choose this photo to represent contrast in size. In the photo you can see just how small the baby is compared to the hands holding it.

I loved this photo for texture contrast. There is texture everywhere in this photo. Starting at the top with the forehead, to the wrinkles around the eyes, to the nose, to the lips, to the mustache and even down to the chest. As I looked at the photo, I realized that aging is appearing as a sense of beauty.

I found this picture to convey contrast elements of highlights and shadows. The top of the trees are highlighted to help give the audience a sense of time of day the photo was taken. The shadows create a sense of depth to the photo.
